Buffy-less Tuesdays
as answered by Manolo, Janet, Stephen, & Lisa

[REDUNDANT WARNING! The advice seen here is for entertainment purposes only! Newmoanyeah will not be held liable for anything. Got it? Good.]

Dear Newmoanyeah:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 4
Season 4 on DVD
Now that Buffy's going off the air, what should I watch on Tuesday nights?

Sincerely,
Mustsy B. Uffy
[Real name withheld by request. - Ed.]

Dear Ms. Uffy:

Instead of actually *watching* another television show, why not spend that hour doing something else? Something more productive, like watching a book. Go out! Mow the lawn. Read a movie? See a play! Take a bath. Join a workout club! How about taking that family vacation you've been wanting to do? Learn a new skill. Start waitressing. Play dead. Eat a whole person! Paint a Corvette. Divorce that wife you've never intended to marry. Come on, there's so much to life. Live a little and enjoy it while you still can (wink)!

Dear Ms. Uffy:

Simple. Gilmore Girls. If you loved Buffy, you'll love this. It's just the same, except that instead of romancing brooding vampires with souls, Alexis Bledel's character, Rory, goes back and forth between nice Dean and annoyingly angsty-but-harmless Jess. And there's nothing supernatural, so instead of a witch for a best friend, there's Lane, whose Korean mother doesn't allow her to leave her house without permission, although she is dating a white guy, which is pretty daring, I guess. And uh, instead of a school on a Hellmouth, the prep school is full of rich overachievers who join debate teams and stuff. But you know, that can be freaky too. All those jackets with emblems... and knee socks.

Lisa Turner, Groovalicious Editor

Dear Ms. Uffy:

I'd suggest watching Star Wars on tape or playing the Buffy video game for Xbox.

Stephen Lin, Editor-in-Chief

Dear Ms. Uffy:

You should watch yourself turn off the TV, pick up a book, open it and read the words that are typed inside.
